Simplicity Health Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES)

Simplicity Health is now nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association as a comprehensive diabetes self-management education/ training program (DSME/DSMT). Diabetes educators are licensed professionals, registered nurses and registered dietitians, who are specialized in educating people with diabetes. Most have taken the exam to become certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCES).

Diabetes educators can provide education and training on diabetes including:
  • Insulin pens, vial and syringes, and insulin pumps
  • Blood Glucose Meters
  • Continuous Glucose Monitors
Studies show that diabetes education helps you lower your blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

This helps you stay healthier and reduce the risk of complications.

How does someone start seeing a Diabetes Educator?

A referral to Simplicity Health is needed from the primary care provider.
